Alexandre de Streel is the professor of EU Law at the Universities of Namur and Louvain in Belgium. Previously, he held different positions related to EU policies: senior EU advisor to the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and member of the Belgian delegation to the European Council, attaché at the Belgian Permanent Representation to the EU and chair of the Council Social Questions Working Groups during the 2010 Belgian Presidency, policy advisor at the European Commission (Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology). He holds a PhD in Law from the European University Institute (Florence) on the relationship between telecom regulation and competition law, and a Master Degree in Economics from the University of Louvain.
